Perfecting your Will power



So if you are younger and live with your parents (I guess this can apply to college aged people as well) you know very well that if temptation presents its self, and let us be honest here it will, you need to be prepared. If your like me you have a mom (or dad) that is over weight and likes to buy fatty foods, bring home fast food, or serve you that extra helping of mashed potatoes. What are you supposed to do? True Ana's (people actually diagnosed with ED) are very strong when it comes to this and temptation is not a problem (this does not include the occasional binge fest in which our body wins in the mind over matter battle). Like I said in my other blog, Paint it Goth, just because you are Goth does not mean you are going to hate Lady Gaga over night simply because she sings pop and doesn't fit in with the Gothique lifestyle. It is the same principle with eating, if you don't have an actual fear of gaining weight or food in general you need to learn that your dietary habits won't change over night.  So what can you do? You ease into it of course! Stop asking your parents to bring home food, stop asking for cookies and ice cream at the store or those oh-so-delectable fudge rounds!  If you are an adult, this is easy, make a list of what you need, round up how much each item is and bring the money (a little extra in case) so you don't have any to spend on fatty foods! If you use credit/debit then focus on something you want that you want more than food (Elliptical perhaps?). Best of luck girls and guys! Stay strong. Stay beautiful. Stay hungry. <3

  2. Can I just say that I'm a diagnosed anorexic but that doesn't mean that I don't get tempted. In fact sometimes I do eat a lot even when I'm not binging. We all have our days, whether we're diagnosed or not.
