- Instead of saying you will diet for 2 months say 2 or 3 days! This is because if you say you are dieting for 2 months then eating one slice of cake will seem like a minor slip right? Wrong! Try to make a manageable time frame in which you are 100% sure that you will not cheat and when you make it to the last day, restart!
- Never skip breakfast. EVER!
- It is OK to graze on negative/low-calorie foods! If you wait too long to eat or skip days a lot you are only setting yourself up for a binge fest!
- Never.Ever.NEVER guesstimate portion sizes!! If you do not know the portion size then eat 1/4 of what ever it is you are eating and save the other portions for other meals (a plate of pasta at Olive garden can quickly become tonight's dinner, tomorrows breakfast, snack, lunch and dinner as well!)
- Do not binge on weekends! Just because it is the weekend and you can relax does NOT mean you can slack! This also counts for your "free day" in which is a term I use for the day some Ana's allow themselves 1 treat or allow themselves to binge. It is not good, it will set you back and all that hard work all those hunger pains, all that will power will be wasted!
- Do not graze on just anything!! Do not think that because you call it a snack, or are only taking a handful that it will not hurt your diet, because it will!
- Do not overeat after workouts!! If you get hungry after working out then you should start eating a protein bar 30 minutes before workout sessions! Also if you have a meal plan it will cut down hunger as your body will train itself to only send hunger signals at those specific times! Also if you still after all that feel hungry after working out, eat a tomato slice with half a slice of cheese. You do not like tomato? Oh well then you must not be too hungry!
- Proper sleeping habits! Sleep does effect weightless and exercise strategies believe it or not. You need 6 to 8 hours of sleep EVER single night! This is important!
- Avoid eating late, have a set time you cannot eat after (I eat dinner at 6 but if I get too hungry I will have a snack at 7, I do not allow myself to eat after 7pm or before 7am)
- Never let yourself stop caring about calories! Don't tell yourself that you can just go back to normal eating or whatever, sneaky calories will find their way to your lips if you let your focus slip!!
- “It’s easy to get too busy to exercise,” Linde says. But if you consistently skip exercise or cut back on your workout to save time, you’re harming your weight-loss strategy.
- Do not miscalculate how much calories you burn for each workout! This will really hurt you as you might be one of those "Ill burn x amount so I can eat this!" you may have only burned 5 when you think you burned 15! Be very, very careful with this.
- Never ignore liquid calories! Dammit these are the sneaky little buggers, always know how much you are taking in no matter what! Be it drinks, snacks, meals, medicine, vitamins ANYTHING!
- Make several weight loss plans and write them in your Rexy Bible, this will keep you on track if you are lost, giving up, or don't know what to eat anymore.
